Aptly Named

Bliss, O Man, you shall not seek in blood
Waves of violence break out from stirrings subterranean
Opening the floodgates of damnation sure and certain
You might be offered kingdoms and crowns gorgeous
But once you fall to the snare, you get buried forever
You could soar up infinite reaches
Then why should you shrink into dark holes perilous?
Once thrown into being, how can you deny yourself?
Denial strikes harsh strings and smacks of perversion
The perverse artist is aptly named the Devil
He mistakes soothing shade for fire and brimstone

The Province Of Babes

Your innocence may trap you, O, my baby
Yet innocence fills the air
With irresistible sweetness seductive
Which even saints might envy
The sweetness the victorious noble
Have lost repeatedly and reclined heroically
That is the way sinners turn into saints
Probably darkness is driven to exile
quite dexterously by militant mortals
