Virginia Pease Ewersen Poems

I like to bring the Outdoors in
With windows bright and curtains thin!
When I work or write by my kitchen table,
I love to see out as much as I'm able!
...

The Light is incredibly bright!
The Daytime wonderf'lly long...
The Robin sings at Peep of Light
A melodious, throaty song!
...

Thank You for the Day
And bless the Night!
Thank you for the Night,
And bless the Day!

The Present

I like to bring the Outdoors in
With windows bright and curtains thin!
When I work or write by my kitchen table,
I love to see out as much as I'm able!
The Earth changes as the Seasons go:
Winter shapes in white are muffled.
Then, Spring comes with the trees green-ruffled.
Summer is bright and gay in full measure.
In Fall, the woods are a gold and red treasure!...
Before Winter again puts the Earth to bed...
So, in each of Life's Seasons it's good to vow
That it's always time to be pleasant!
And the best time of all is NOW!
"Look well to this DAY!"
It's a Gift called the PRESENT!
