The Best Poem Of William Stuart

Disconnect

It was Wednesday
when I went out to pick up
Thursday's' paper.
I think time
is playing tricks
on me.

Peoples' names blur.
They say the same thing
over and over.
Why aren't they listening?

For breakfast
I had cereal...
I think.

I can't find my watch...
I think they hide it.

My only daughter
is coming tomorrow
I call her Mary.
