Life Of The Deaf.

Thunder claps, people shout,
This is what my life is all about,
I grab my things and shut the door,
Away from all the noise, galore.
The scratch of paper, the squeak of feet,
Here comes my sister, merry meet.
We huddle up, we retreat.
The shouts get louder,
I crouch lower,
I pack up my things,
Zoom! - its over.
I rush downstairs, taking cover.
And start to paint, away from the shower.
But no inspiration reaches me,
I glower and pout.
I grab the mess, rushing water.
Of rain pour and of pipe water.
Scrub, wash, rinse,
I clean and pinch,
I hurry and pack,
Sling the bag across my back.
Away from the booms and bangs,
I run upstairs - All has decreased and faded into mist.
I hear no more,
Thunder claps, people shout.
