Famous Couple Poem by Athena Plante Little Bit Lost

Famous Couple

We could have conquered the world together,
And been just like Bonnie and Clyde.
We would have made a perfect couple,
If you had only tried.

Together until death made us part.
A storybook life of love and romance.
We could have been Romeo and Juliet.
If you had given us a chance.

We could have been like Courtney and Scott.
My love would not let me leave your side.
I'd forgive and forget, if you had opened up,
Instead you chose to hide.

A famous couple like Fred and Ginger.
Our moves were always perfectly entwined.
We could have danced that perfect dance.
If you had given us sometime.

Singing side by side, as lovers and friends.
We sang in tune with perfect harmony.
We made a great couple like Sonny and Cher.
Until you stopped singing with me.

We could have been Ross and Rachel.
More than friends we could have become.
Together we'd conquer our fear of love.
But scared you chose to run.

Conquering the world as a famous couple.
One another's forever, to the end ride or die.
But instead of mounting the horse with me,
Alone you chose to fly.
