My Definition Of Friendship Poem by Athena Plante Little Bit Lost

My Definition Of Friendship

To me friendship means,
I will always be by your side.
I accept you just the way you are.
There's nothing that you need to hide.

It means I will pick up the phone
and call to make sure that you're okay.
And try to give your smile back,
If something should take it away.

It means happy or sad, good
or bad I will be there for you.
To lend you a hand, lend you an ear,
whatever you may need me to do.

As friends we should have adventures,
Memories of the smile I see on your face.
A special bond between us remains,
No matter the time or the space.

It means I will always lift you up,
Lighten the travel on your burden road.
I will share my back to help you,
carry the weight of your troubled load.

I'll be a wall to lean on, shoulder for
your tears and an ear to bend.
No matter what you do or say,
It won't change that I'm your friend.

It means that you can always call me.
Tell me the news weather good or bad.
I will laugh you with you when you're happy,
and cry with you when you are sad.

It means will respect and value you.
Sometimes constructively criticize.
Because my friendship is not fake,
I won't fill your head full of lies.

It means that if you ever fell hopeless,
and it seems into the dark you're slipping away.
I will be there holding the candle,
to illuminate your soul, whether night or day.

It means that you will forever,
have a special place inside my heart.
As friends we are bound together
and only death could tear us apart.
