With You Poem by Athena Plante Little Bit Lost

With You

You made me who I was.
Without you, I don't who to be.
You were the match to strike my flame,
you alone lit that fire in me.

Iv'e been lost since you left,
Something is now missing inside.
Like my heart is now empty,
and the flame in me has died.

You knew my past had left me,
so damaged beyond repair.
You knew how screwed up I was,
but since you were too, you didn't care.

I didn't have to hide my truth
or pretend to be someone else.
You understood what made me, me
and you just let me be myself.

With you I felt such passion.
With you I felt so very alive.
Since you, I can't be with anyone else.
I have tried and tried and tried.
