Panic! In Wonderland

Patches of flame spread
in regions
of the wonderland I
used to know
as it roared and
ate its’ way up

the chocolate hills cried
corrupted,
salty and sour strawberry swings and slides,
plagued plains of peaches and mocha!

She worries …
every ticking second.
Vanilla volcano will soon erupt
but;
dark cherries oozed instead! She’s
baffled!

So was I –
What used to be lovely,
crawls like a leper

burning and fading,
I am.

To cinders, we all
shall turn
soon.
