Hi, I'm Alexis. I've been writing poetry for a few years now. Never quite had the nerve to try publishing until a few good friends encouraged me to do so. I enjoy reading, peppermint tea, and music. I am satisfied with these things. more »

Alexis Gray Poems
I don't want this face. I don't want this body. I don't want to take up space. I just want someone to see me.
I smile into your eyes, you smile back at mine. Your arms encircle me, keep me safe as can be.
For A Lover..
I listened to every word he spoke. They brought tears to my eyes, and love to my heart. I could feel some of the wounds inside me

I don't want this face.
I don't want this body.
I don't want to take up space.
I just want someone to see me.
I wish I was pretty.
I want to look
like I belong in a magazine.
Like a sexy crook,
Or a beautiful queen.
If only I was pretty.
I want to be pretty.
That's all I've ever wanted.
I'll make it go away.
I'll cut it off my skin.
I'll retch til it's gone.
I'll be pretty.
Pretty. Pretty. Pretty.
