Andrew Sheran Poems

I wish I had another minute to show how much I love her
I would give her flowers every day
I would just listen to her talk about her day
I would clean the house better
...

The moonlight shines possibilities and hopes that come through on your chocolaty brown skin.
No reason to fear. No reason to doubt. Every reason to believe that you are the one for me.
No, I can't believe that the feelings inside of me leave me with no barriers of complacency.
No, I can't let my guard down because the proud can't fall to a bottomless place where existing has no purpose.
...

The impressive thing about you is that you love me without even knowing all of me
You just do
Where is this love coming from that you have it unconditionally?
Even in my sleep I feel the presence of it
...

I dream of your face smiling back at me
Thoughts of embracing you with the strength that I know you will return in time
You see the thoughts of mine are not ones that are trivial
The love that I have for you could never fall to a minimal level of complacency

Loving Memories Last Forever

I wish I had another minute to show how much I love her
I would give her flowers every day
I would just listen to her talk about her day
I would clean the house better
Make her favorite meals
Laugh with her
Dance with her
Talk to her more about my life and who she raised me to be
I would, if I could
But I can’t…

She died over 11 years ago
I haven’t gotten over it since
No one has ever been there for me as much as she was
No one has ever cared as much as she has
No one has sacrificed more to make sure that I am the man I am today
But, I realized it all too late

Her beauty was captivating
Her laugh was intoxicating
Her strength knew no bounds
And she loved her sons to the highest level

If I had another minute this is what I would do
I would hold onto that woman so that she couldn’t leave
Give her my strength so that she could fight the battle that she lost
Give her my youth so that she could hold on for more years to come
And give her my heart because love conquers all

Even though her illness took my mother away
I hope she knows that I will be seeing her one day
And when I see her, I will shout and dance for joy
I may be a man, but I will always be her little boy

I love you mommy
