There's a happy place I go at night,
In mind and heart, devoid of fright.
Surrounded by this dreamt-up place,
...
She walks the streets of the French Quarter...
striking at 3am
They named her Melinda, in this...
her immortal life
...
I cry out to Lord Byron nightly,
And he comes to me between the realm of fantasy and reality.
He speaks through darkness and whispers of ethereal pain
...
Seduction personified with one look...
Her ivory skin a sheath of silk
Eyes of wanted coal watching with calculated temptation
...
The wizard he waits with wand in his hand,
He's waited for ages to conquer this land
Secluded, he dwells, no friend and no mate...
...
Manny the Mime lurks 'round Central Park,
Waiting for joggers who run after dark.
He draws on a smile,
...
Twice upon a town named Eerie,
The children stalk the Woods O' Dreary
Pale and white as zombies they roam,
...
Under blackened sky and quiet space you approached...
my logic slipping away
As boundaries crashed, lines crossed...
hands inches away from each other's bodies
...
Breathless,
Waiting for the sun to rise after you've gone
Dreamless,
...
A million kisses showered on
His blonde and tousled head
The angels sang when he was born,
...
Once daylight breaks I'm locked inside,
The crumbling walls of my hellish mind
No thoughts much different than before,
...
My life I did not choose,
My death I shall not make...
though it has crossed the darkest shadows of mind, time and again
...
My first smile brought her joy,
My first tear,
and she cried as if it were her own
...
Innocence lost in this age of complication,
It's now high time that I take some action
Against the hell that rages inside,
...
Through age and youth, you are mine
Through beauty and deterioration,
I love you
...
I love you, as you stand before me...
with your faults and your pleasures
I love you, as you lie beside me
...
I'm enamored by you...
so young and so cool
Thoughts fresh and exciting,
your body intensely inviting
...
Sadistic sadness soils my soul,
No more facades; can't play this 'ole role
Sadistic rage I wear on my sleeve,
...
My Euphoria
There's a happy place I go at night,
In mind and heart, devoid of fright.
Surrounded by this dreamt-up place,
Unconscious state, embraced by grace.
Escaping in an endless sea,
Imagining who I'd like to be.
A poet, queen or wealthy heir...
A songstress with a voice so rare.
Traveling by my plane or boat,
Swimming in my castle's moat.
Candle's light my way around,
Flower's strewn about the ground.
As peace and ease flow through my soul,
I waken and resume my role...
No poets, queens or motes remain,
Just hope that I will dream again.
