Apurva Banthia Poems

It rained,
But quite cloudlessly last night...

It was no downpour,
...

The night feels cold,
As the wind blows through.
A friend walks on,
As he misses you.
...

Here lay in ashes, my kin of long since.
Here they charred as were destined once.
We are but akin for brittle or dense,
The light from The Father is what I lens,
...

The old man and his scar-burned night
Fearing an impending fiery fight,
His heart with venegence and,
Himself on galley... both alight!

It Rained Last Night

It rained,
But quite cloudlessly last night...

It was no downpour,
Just a little shower so light,
It only moistened the patchy grass,
Didn't sink to the mud or ire the mite,
But it rained
Quite cloudlessly last night...

The stars were dimmed,
Surely, 'cause the skies didn't look as bright,
The twin skies, ne'er to meet, were soaked,
In mildly warm, but greatly dampened light,
And yet, it was quite cloudlessly...
That it rained last night!
