Pulled the household wagon through fun and trouble.
We trotted out of step, sometimes, like ox and mules,
But mostly we strutted like thoroughbreds from the Lippizan school.

Our First Anniversary

Twelve months now we've been harnessed as a married couple.
Pulled the household wagon through fun and trouble.
We trotted out of step, sometimes, like ox and mules,
But mostly we strutted like thoroughbreds from the Lippizan school.

In this one year, our hooves got used to clumping in rhythm.
(The wagon is lighter, if not pulled that way and this'n.)
So we can show our healthy horse teeth and laugh out loud:
We really have something to neigh about!
