Cameron Penrose Poems

truth
I play on words but words don't play
caring not if you choose them to say
indifferent to any different way
...

capture my interest, but don't hold it captive
exercise my freedom, but don't make me too active
entertain my fantasy, but don't charge me a fee
jog my memory, but don't let my harness go free
...

in the darkest of darkness, where is light?
in the coldest of coldness, where is heat?
in the weakest of weakness, where is strength?
fill the air with the absence of absence
...

my soul stays warm from the incessant fire
I can feel ablaze from where i am higher
afloat over hell, I scoot over to tell my sole partner
that it'd be a cold world without satan
...

but a mere canvas could never recreate
the beauty god paints
from every blemish to every mole
every miniscule piece that makes her whole
...

will he take this pain away
will he take this train away
the thought couldnt be held at bay
it is the way they say
...

where will I take you
with these words I speak so few
so choose to follow or fall out now
read on, venture on and you're gone
...

destiny
held out his hand to me
and said I could rest in he
and he blessed me
...

9.

the soul is mist
breath in the fresh air of life
and exhale all the pain and strife
and let it rain when right
...

Your Word

truth
I play on words but words don't play
caring not if you choose them to say
indifferent to any different way
unable to persuade otherwise
by persuading with the other guys
true until it dies
true even when you realize
you've but scratched its surface
when your tongue makes it resurface
outlasting the herd
it dies to have the last word
so til the end stay true to your word
truth
