Peter’s father didn’t love Peter at all, or that is what Peter thought. His father, now in his 50s was always with his dog, Scotty. Scotty was not even a pure breed, but a common stray dog. His father had found him outside the gate of their house, whimpering and had adopted him. The dog had a fever, so medicines worth lots of money had to be brought, but his father didn’t seem to mind. And now that the dog was well, he was his father’s constant companion. Be it on a hunting trip or going to the market, the dog always followed Peter’s father. Peter hated the dog as he thought that he should be getting his father's love, but was deprived of it, because of the dog. But the dog loved Peter and often went to lick him, but Peter just pushed it aside.

After a few years, the dog died of cancer. Peter’s father didn’t allow anything to be done to the body, he burnt it himself and put the ashes in the box and kept it near him. Peter couldn’t stand this anymore. One night, when everyone was asleep, he took the box, and jumping over the fence, hid it deep in a nearby forest. In the morning, when his father learnt about this, he made Peter dig every tree he could see in the forest, but as it had been night time when Peter buried the box, he couldn’t remember where exactly he had buried it. After the tries went in vain, the hatred between Peter and his father grew to an extreme level.

It was Friday morning.I was going in the little village of Arowali. My vacation had just began.My parents thought it would be a good idea to visit the village after a hectic exam.The trian slowly chugged into the station.We had to go another 3 miles by cartwheel pulled by ox.My grandparents once lived in that village.After they were over sixty they moved with us into the city.Our house was looked after by a chowkidar(a kind of secretary) .We slowly advanced towards the house.The fields were lush green and was so long i couldn't see the end, it disappeared into the horizon.

After 15 minutes, we reached our house.It was a little broken down and looked shabby but i was not dismayed about it, it gave me a feeling of adventure.People often spoke of ghosts and spirits.Although i cannot say whether it was a superstition, but to say the truth the nights were very creepy.It was all silent with the occasional buzz of insects and snakes.

Souradeep was a really quiet boy.He didn't like to fool around with people.Instead he spent his time day dreaming.His parents were both doctors and were rich.But bit by bit they were losing it because of Souradeep's Father.His father has been fighting a case for a long time about a plot of land for almost 5 years now.
He had a brother named Rajarshi.He was a terror to Souradeep and an angel to his parents.He was very smart and so he easily caught people's attention.He was good at studies and also at sports unlike his brother who was 'good-for-nothing' as commented by his parents.Even then Souradeep loved his brother with his heart.
At last, after Souradeep continued to do bad at studies, his parents had one option: BOARDING SCHOOL.
Next day his parents strted packing his bags.His parents set him to a small school situated at the borders of the city.For the first time, a tear was seen in the corner of Souradeep's eye, he had never cried before, Even when he was beaten recklessly.His mother and father didn't like him.They were full of disgust.They only cared for rajarshi.
