I lost another poem
this morning
in the early air
between my home and my car
...
There was a fundamental disconnect
as he thrust out his hand to shake
mine and missed three feet wide.
...
When the Rainbow Umbrella Man showed up
Things came to a grinding halt in Mill Valley.
Folks looked on shocked at all the colors.
Some said he hid from the sun
...
Give a damn or die, gray man,
Withering in tepid states of noncommittal dissonance.
Take a stand.
...
In cold varietal fashion
With stone-faced disregard
She sashays the runway of hungry eyes
With a made up heart
...
Through the door
there's a world out there
large and lush and green;
...
Fossil fashions,
The relics of yesterday,
I dig through my drawers.
...
ee cummings and goings
on
no punctuation
this punctuality of words
...
Earth's memories
Buried deep in stones
They remember large creatures
The cataclysm
...
You little thingamajig
with your single anode
arcing across space
to the mercury-pool cathode
...
