...I saw a little girl today who's hair had gone away
The tube inside her nose explained the reason for decay
There was a glow about her though, as if her spirit knew
Her time on Earth was limited, if only others knew

I complained today that I had no job and then I saw a blind man being led by a dog
I complained today that there was nothing to eat and then I saw a man starving on the street
I complained today that my life was unfair and then I remembered when my Mom had no hair
I complained today that I didn't see my kids enough then I heard about a Father being deployed for 10 months

Blackness don't take my mother
Darkness let her be
It isn't enough she gave me life?
Instead of her take me!

Two men, two boys
Born into the same World, Shared toys
Shared rooms, passed down clothes
Shared life, exchanged blows
