Darren MacPherson Poems

Sacred heart, where secrets sleep
Transitional love devours,
Caressed and nurtured failings sweep
Subliminally they cower.
...

The wind blows and I hear the whisper of your name in the trees
They beckon me...hypnotised, I obey
I let them take me and fill me with your essence
...I slip away.
...

Its raining
The leaves fall
Heavy with the damp of late autumn
Weighed down by the fate that awaits them

Cerulean Hue

Sacred heart, where secrets sleep
Transitional love devours,
Caressed and nurtured failings sweep
Subliminally they cower.

Each one it has a seed and stem
A bud which never flourished,
Inanimate memories, harboured gem
Shallow promises unnourished.

A silent claim to times gone by
Unjustified yet savoured,
The sequel of unquench belie
Thirst dormant...strained...unwavered.

Twelve tainted eyes, Cerulean Hue
Twelve drawers of dense parsimony
And in this chest...a draw for you
Awaits self anonymity.
