I cry and beg,
Scream and shout,
Anything to get your attention,
To get you to look at me

I lay awake
and think of you.
I think of your eyes,
your smile,
...

Screams of terror rise into the air,
moans of pain soar on the wind,
sirens sing through the night.

I want a river to form from these tears
and wash your memory away.

I want the heavens to cry

I sit and stare at nothing,
thanking god
for every moment you love me,
but

I cry and try to resist
falling into an abyss
and onto the rocky bottom below.

Tears slip from my eyes,
but my ring stays.
It was hard,
but I know we will make it through.

I wish I knew what was going on,
I wish I knew what to think.
And in a constant state of despair,
I wish to disappear for awhile,
...

This is the first I've seen
of this side of you,
It's not a pretty sight.

Sitting next to friends,
I'm surrounded by strangers.
Every things changed now,
I don't know who you are anymore.
