Deborah M. Hodgetts Biography

A little bit about me the poet... Hi my name is Deborah Hodgetts; I am a published poet and also write a successful blog called ‘The Beautiful Music of Words’. I live in a leafy village in the glorious countryside of Buckinghamshire, surrounded by beautiful nature, which always provides an abundance of creativity and inspiration. I have been writing poems and stories since the age of 7, after being greatly inspired by my wonderful mum who used to skilfully write amazing poems and stories, which she regularly read in competitions around my hometown of Staffordshire. I guess my love of words and writing started here, and grew like a flower. So here I am a poet/writer and Screenwriter eager to bring my gift of writing, and creativity to the masses. I would love to inspire a new generation, and touch the crustiest of hearts through my love of poetry. My prime objective being to hopefully make a difference in the world with the words I write. So with this in mind I have decided to join forces with the extremely talented Stewart Clough, to produce a range of poetry cards, merging the power of words with the beauty of art. These poems are all due to be published in my poetry collection entitled ‘A Universe of Love’ which will include all of Stewarts amazing illustrations, and is scheduled publication in October 2015 and will be available on Amazon.)

Anguish

Anguish (Title)

With every drop of rain
I sign your name.
For a love like this,
Could never come.

With every drop of blood,
I feel the pain.
Thou I know not it’s name.
Just the love that it has taken;
And the anguish that is to come.

As love lies bleeding.
