Her courage made her firm in life.

Almighty God, show me the cross,
Your only Son had carried then,
For sins of mine, though He was boss,
And taking sinners to heaven.

May be, as black, you lived in slavery;
May be, as young, you stayed in penury;
May be, you were victim of usury,
But still like dust, you rose again surely!

Faith and hope are good in theory;
A cool approach in danger's face is good;
But when in a crisis, one must be up and doing,
By applying prudence, wisdom and ken,

Walk in faith and not by sight;
Run His mile but keep your smile;
Trust in God both day and night;
Pray to Him, life ticks in style!

Freedom we are given
To do the things we please
And if wrong goes something,
We blame God for everything.
