I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When this started to happen
I'm sorry, I didn't notice

Pirates say 'Dead man tells no tale'
But what about his soul
Can you not hear its wail
Does it not have a story to be told
...

Not a winner
Just a mess
A useless sinner
Who's failed the test
...

Inner need to stand out
A need to fit in
Willing to scream and shout
Just for some attention
...

Our entertainment is watered down
It has become so apathetic
I look around
And it's down right pathetic

This is a poem I wrote about words and how they affect me personally and others, at least so I think

Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words will never hurt me
...

I wrote this and I guess it goes out to the girl who filled my world with darkness for some time

Nothing left to do
And no where I can turn
...

Wrote this a few hours ago it is to the girl who I look forward to talking to everyday, who I smile when I get a message from, and just does so much for me.

You and me
Lets just run away

This is a poem about what is expected out of teenagers today in my personal opinion. Just because we have feelings and we express them in different ways is not anything we should be put down for or expected not. I have feelings and i show them. I don't care what is expected that is just how I am.... Dedicated to those who try to keep teens like me silent.

You limit my brain
Now nothing is real
...

Does anyone think they can
Look deep inside my soul
Find out about this man
And the secrets that I hold
...

Dedicated to Christians who go stray and have troubles going back.

I can't just go to You
To end my strife
...

For those of us who don't worry about what we do because 'we are going to Hell anyway' and don't realize how much people care.

My time has passed
No more fun
...

First poem on here in a while. Describes that person with feelings for someone who it doesn't seems really notices them.

I dont get special notice
In a world so mean
...

Funny how someone can fill you with cheer
And make you cry
Someone who you can be happy near
But sometimes can't look in the eye

Dylan Burkhart Biography

I was born in Indiana. I am a 17 year old high school student who absolutely loves writing and reading poetry. If you say because of my age I don't know true emotion I will tell you that you are completely crazy. I may be young, but I have tasted the sweetness of some amazing happiness and the bitterness of depression. Please don't consider age just consider what I write. Any comments on what i publish good or bad are greatly appreciated)

İ'M Sorry, I Didn'T Notice

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When this started to happen
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
I just let it begin

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The change in anythin'
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When we stopped talkin'

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
We weren't letting each other in
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
That sad, sad trend

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The beginning of the end
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
You were no longer my friend

But believe me, now I notice
And it hurts deep within
Now that I notice
I hope you'll be again
