Today's Social Politics Poem by Dylan Burkhart

Today's Social Politics

Rating: 5.0

This is a poem about what is expected out of teenagers today in my personal opinion. Just because we have feelings and we express them in different ways is not anything we should be put down for or expected not. I have feelings and i show them. I don't care what is expected that is just how I am.... Dedicated to those who try to keep teens like me silent.

You limit my brain
Now nothing is real
You call me insane
Just because I feel

I am not allowed thought
And I can't be me
It can't be fought
You expect apathy

What if i decide to have an idea
I bet you'll put it down
Make me as small as an amoeba
And hope it doesn't get around

It will not end
Expression is what I need
It will just begin
And maybe eventually I will lead

A tadpole takes time well spent To adapt to its environment, Then an unlikely event occurs, Metamorphous and, a new animal emerges. Destined to live in a different world where change Is the name of the name of the game. You shall be Set free To contribute who knows what But I'm sure it will be a lot! sidi
