That babbles downland from the foot of the hill
By many a hedgerow and many a tree
For to join the big river that flows to the sea.

For places in the bigger World out there in miles distant From your home shore
To see the Pyramids of Egypt and visit Countries such as India or Pakistan
And other travel destinations in Asia Indonesia, China, Russia and Japan,

He is always talking to himself old Jimmy some say he's not right in the head
His bungalow once well kept and clean looking from neglect looking more like a shed
He is in his mid to late eighties his wife she has been dead for years
He no longer goes to the Local he used to enjoy his few beers.

Why so many respect oil barons and mining magnates
Is something I could never understand
When these people only take from Mother Nature
They foul her oceans and pollute her land.

They proudly waved Australian flags and sung Advance Australia Fair
And Aussie Jock wearing Scottish kilts piped a familiar air
Australians all let us rejoice and let the music play
And we as people are as one on this Australia Day.

You who lit the Dandenong Ranges bush fires ought to hang your head in shame
You have murdered three innocent people and fed many homes to flame
And you've left many people homeless for your crimes I hope
you pay

It's not a manly thing to weep the manly man say so
But ignorance is bliss to him he still has far to go
He still has much to learn from life before he reach the stage
When he can say I've fully grown and I have come of age.
