You Still Have The Wanderlust Poem by Francis Duggan

You Still Have The Wanderlust

You still have the wanderlust in you for to see Lands you've not seen before
For places in the bigger World out there in miles distant From your home shore
To see the Pyramids of Egypt and visit Countries such as India or Pakistan
And other travel destinations in Asia Indonesia, China, Russia and Japan,
To see the great Cities of Europe thousands of kilometres from where you call home
Berlin, Amsterdam and Vienna as well as London and Paris and Rome
And visit the U S and Canada where it grows colder as northwards you go
To the shores of the great Artic ocean where in Winter the icy winds blow,
Visit Countries in far South America where the mighty Amazon flow
The nearer it gets to the ocean the wider and bigger it does grow,
Visit Africa the cradle of humanity travel to National Parks miles from the nearest Town
To see creatures great and small in their wild state in places of World wide renown,
You still have the wanderlust in you for places from home far away
A lust that lives on in some people even though they have grown old and gray.
