Gabryel Nuechie Poems

We bought a yellow hen
oh how happy we were,
We brought it into a den
where she had no pair,
...

I have sauntered through fields
And have cherished the smell of roses
And their luxurious apparell
...

As a child I would stare the skies
And find the clouds pose like stairs urging me to touch the stars

I saw meteors flee restriction like giant fireflies
...

I wandered through empty emotions and dusty thoughts
Trying to find my way in a world dark
and filled with the choicest rust

The Yellow Empty Hen

We bought a yellow hen
oh how happy we were,
We brought it into a den
where she had no pair,
Now she is everywhere you go.

We ask her for eggs
lo, she gives us droppings in a bowl,
We got creative and got her peers
Now all she does is moisten the joy in our soul.

She sucks our paper bucket dry like a leech,
and when we wonder,
she fixes our mind with a terrible stitch,
We expect that soon we will eat from her meat,
she keeps telling us to kindly hit the ditch.

She turned our own against us
paying them with their own corn,
And those who could have barked on,
she silenced from her huge yellow purse.

Misery it is that we still harbor this hen
even when our home bred chicks have grown brave and mature,
We give her license to pollute our den
when we could rise to stop the caricature.

Who will slay the hen? ?
It doesnt require a sharp edge,
just a pen.
Who will stop this yellow hen?
And ensure she delivers us the required golden eggs.

For if we allow this golden hen,
she will keep taking our best
and after making sure her health,
she will thread us down
even when we own the crest.
