Hard to maintain
This flux of bitterness
That I've been upholding
Since I crossed into myself

And the absence
Were I long stood in between
In the way of the bridge over reminiscence

The primordial fire in my blood
Upon the stone on which I was born
Was emblazoned on the chest of slaves
Carried upon banners in the coming storm

To try and hold my hand
To witness and to understand
The depths of human conscience
Of how wonder makes you grow up so fast

The proclamation
Of self-rest
Rid of hesitation
