lost in total darkness

I slide out of bed
strip off everything
even shave and trim
before stepping on scale

Of always climbing

Look Look Look at me
you probably see my Celtic father
not my dark eyed mother
part Indian, part nobody

You left me on my knees,
your trademark smile dancing
with candle flames on wine goblet collages.
