Faith Poem by HERB LOWREY

Faith

Rating: 4.3

my life has been a path
to uncertainty's edge
where I stand blind
lost in total darkness
where only faith
urges next step dares

no longer a child
where there was a place
to sleep and eat
nor as an adult
where needs are
comfort smothered

no fool around space
with ah ha moments
nor discovery place
where creation happens
while fooling around
lighting fires in the dark

by uncertainty's edge
where growth is beyond
where hardwood smoke
flavors ancestor's roots
wrapped in giant ancient leaves
waiting faith's rebirth
