Hans Thill (born October 1, 1954 in Baden-Baden ) is a German author and translator. He lives in Heidelberg and is a member of the PEN Center Germany .
Thill grew up in Bühl . He studied languages in Heidelberg as well as law , German language and history . In 1978, he founded the Verlag Das Wunderhorn together with Angelika Andruchowicz, Manfred Metzner, Ulla Tripp and Dorothea Lang . He has translated numerous books from French. Since 2000, he has been the director of the poetry series of the neighbors - poet translating poet , since 2010 artistic director of the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben . Hans Thill, also a "Writers-for-Peace" representative, was a member of the presidency of the German PEN until April 2017.
