ISAIAH CHAH

ISAIAH CHAH Poems

I went there where there were no cries
Of little babies snuggling at the bosoms
Of mothers and fathers with ties
Of holy wedlock and infancy blossoms
...

You say Israel is blind by her fault.
But for you, being blind by your fault,
Is that she closed her eyes this long;
Just for you to refuse to open yours all along.

Wandering Into A Childless Neighborhood

I went there where there were no cries
Of little babies snuggling at the bosoms
Of mothers and fathers with ties
Of holy wedlock and infancy blossoms

I went there where streets were bereft
Of kids, male and female, both running around
And no trace of bicycles left
To show that there were ever children around

I went there where living couples
Had lost hope and desire for little babes
Because of their present ripples
Cutting across the world and reaching Hades

Who said babies must not be born
Except men must also be made to carry
Wombs for months that babies adorn
For there, men have chosen that men they'll marry

I went where men thought as women
And women dream of that day they will be men
And so they marry, but not men
And others look on, still blind to this omen

They will obliterate this place,
Where they deny that they were born of woman,
‘Cause of unquenchable disgrace
And blindness to this outcome in evil's plan

So I left from this neighborhood,
Back home, to motherhood and crying babies
Lovely daddies and charming brood
In this land of great men and gentle ladies

To forget that far neighborhood,
Where I wandered into when I heard such things
Were coming swifter than a flood,
And to warn you that true were such murmurings!
