The Shot of a Lifetime

Glistening through the trees in the distance
It gets closer and closer to where I am
My heart feels like it is about to beat out of my chest
I sit motionless not even a nearby squirrel spots me
Even closer and closer it walks and my heart beats even harder
I hold my breath out of fear I will be spotted
The leaves crunch under the footsteps that walk closer to me
My hands shake from the fear of what is about to happen
Finally I am within range and it seems as everything freezes
