as warm honey drips
and bolder men abbandon ships
But I'm lost and lonley as the pips

We never touched
We never held hands
Or shared a kiss
But in this broken heart

My eyes are so tired
My heart is so tired too
It's so lonely here, dont you know
Without you...

At what point does polite become condescending
I guess I may never know
She politely says thank you and hello
And doles out a scrap then has to suddenly go

It's hard for me to realize
that we're still married
I left so many years ago
after hurting and crying so

The good daughter
Knows no relief
She holds the hands
And cleans every sheet
