Bri Edwards January Poems

Dusk shall soon overtake the pale blue sky & the sun shall 'set'.
Since I submitted NO December showcase, you now shall GET....
....a January showcase in TWO PARTS, with poems I've favored....
....here on P-H and now share with YOU....so they may be savored...
...

In the 'Add New Poem' instructions PH says 'Take a deep breathe',
but it should say 'breath' [rhymes with death], so I now DO grieve!
It's a grammatical error, one even (I think) 'Bri' has made in the past,
AND I'll bet my high school English teachers would....now be aghast!
...

My 'Showcase' Task & My Requests To Readers

It's not as easy to assemble poems (I like) each month to share with YOU.
I mean it's not as easy as it USED TO BE for me, but I do find a FEW.
...

Now that I've typed 2019, I'll concentrate,
to, this New Year's showcase, consecrate …
to the "divine purpose" of entertaining you,
with dozens of poems, or ….at least a few,
...

AS POEMS ARE SUBMITTED [by sending as a PH 'message' to me this month (January) , and, for this month's contest ONLY, until the 5th of next month (February) ] I shall submit them at the end of this ACTC 'POEM'.

A Baby's Laughter
...

"Happy New Year! " to those of you who celebrate such pagan rituals.
I'll celebrate them WITH you, but only if they include yummy victuals**.
Santa Claus brought me a new set of Typing Fingers; do you believe THAT?
If you do, you may also believe that under Santa's coat is muscle, NO fat!
...

As December comes to its final week.
allow me to ink some words quite meek**.
[they won't be heard above a mouse squeak]
'Please, at this showcase, will you peek? ? '
...

Section B this month is but nearly half full; it's true,
BUT I've got some for 'C' ……and LOTS more to do.
I've got to grovel AND implore [yes, that means to beg] …..
for MORE poems to knock this display UP a peg!
...

As Section A is almost filled (it is NOT weak) ,
allow me to ink some words quite meek**.
[they won't be heard above a mouse squeak]
'Please, at this Section B, will you peek? ? '
