Jay Harris Poems

1.

Why do you taunt me so?
Want to
Exist
In peace.
...

Limbs are 100 years older
Mind hides behind a fuzzy veil
The mind wonders yet sees nothing
...

Standing here again
The world rushes past
A whole world to see
Yet they all just stand here again
...

You asked of me today,
Exposed like never seen,
If that really was your wish,
Then I would walk around,
...

5.

Tell me where you’re from
Bitter sweet enigma
Moving through the shadows on the edge of the light
Let me look at you with my weary sight
...

To quench my lust
Leaves me empty
A void I cannot fill
Without the un-named you
...

A fragile night
Seeking sanctuary
Entrusting you
A life to share
...

The spring opened with much promise
The summers glow warmed my skin
Yet all my life, here I have waited
And never a hope so keen
...

I see a shape in crystalline steel,
Glaring calmly with pastel zeal,
Invited intrusion, delicately dancing,
Around my mind, beauty shining.
...

A walk through the winter dusk,
Still air, clear sky.
Breathe deeply: clean and crisp,
Still mind, clear mind.
...

So tired
Never-ending
Where are you?
It's hard to see in the choking darkness
...

Jay Harris Biography

I'm no poet but I wrote a few words a few years back and here they are... I'm thinking of maybe writing some more in-between other projects if I have time so please feel free to throw me criticism from every direrction so I can decide if I should or not... I'm primarily a musician (although not as a day job) and want to get more into production... check out my links for music...they dont seem to work but I'll try later!)

Why do you taunt me so?
Want to
Exist
In peace.
Ghosts of a past life.
A memory I can’t quite explain.
