John Dillenger II
Many sleepless nights I have spent at my desk, longing for the right words to describe that which haunts me. It's in these nights that I came to love this art. It is my description, my words, of what I cannot find words to describe. My emotions poured to paper, overflowing the walls I've created to retain them for the day. more »

John Dillenger II Poems
A Pain To Clear To Me
I see the pain in this world The pain of ages so far away I see the pain of lives been twirled The world's too much for them today
Your Darker Side
The cord of life quickly unwound as it follows its turns round and round the pain She feels which knows no bounds will hardly stop till she makes a sound
Fear Greater Than The Fall
Today begins as the last one ends a perpetual motion of death and life.
Alone On The Beach
The ocean waves lap at my feet, the warm salt speckled water warming me against the soft breeze. Soft tan sand as fine as dust shifts beneath my feet. The sun still sits above the horizon, which was good, because she wasn't here yet. I've been waiting so long. I stopped counting the days when I began to lose hope, but I still wait for her. She is so lost in here own mind, so confused by over-analyzing thoughts.
Sunlight filters through my window, piercing the harsh darkness that's harbored within.
A Goodnight Kiss From Afar
Sleep well dear shining star Fall into dreams soft embrace I cant be just where you are But I promise I'm not too far away
My Only Thoughts
How long ago did you hold me last The memories of what has been How have we let time go so fast I hope it slows before the end
Tell me now of the maze The place you went to search, to gaze To try to find what I have hid To try to crack, to break the lid
In the dark, the deep, the gray I will lose the fight today For in the end I am weak A pawn in the greater play of things
Maybe All I Have Is Hope... But That's E...
The dark I see surrounds me Your retreating steps frighten my very soul Where have you gone? I can't see.
A Dream I Had
In the darkness of night I once had a dream An escape from the terrors of the day In my dream things were not as they seem Things already gone in life had not gone away
I am lightning A light here then gone I am lightning A flash quick and strong
I Fight Today
Numb is what I feel Today I dream black I've turned my blood to steal To withhold the sharpened tact
My Moonlight Gone Away
A lightning strike So quick and true That lightning strike Hit me with you
Your Darker Side
The cord of life quickly unwound
as it follows its turns round and round
the pain She feels which knows no bounds
will hardly stop till she makes a sound
of primal hate and hurt inside
and from consciousness her world will slide
bound by something you cannot see
unbreaking in the churning tide
laying with whom you cannot be
the one she believes is by her side
and now she lays there dead yet alive
because of you, your darker side.
