John Udeaba Poems

The day of my conception was/is known to one person alone.
She was conscious of it all when it started.
She knew the task ahead and admitted to the go ahead.
She went through all the process without complaint and no giving up.
...

The mind tends to fail when called to the trail of right
It appears to be inactive and dormant
Like a pond without a channel of flow
Fermentation covers the body; indecision is born.

Love Of Mother

The day of my conception was/is known to one person alone.
She was conscious of it all when it started.
She knew the task ahead and admitted to the go ahead.
She went through all the process without complaint and no giving up.
She was never bothered of the intricacy behind survival.
She never considered the pain and the promulgations.
She forged ahead with strong faith and determination.
She pushed with all her strength on my birthday.
She embraced, kissed and looked at me with a mysterious smile when I came to the world.
She nurtured and cared for me then, yesterday and even today.

I pray for the Endless Blessings of the Almighty and Everlasting God upon her and all her Wishes... Amen.
