Memories of the days in a vast cover of the sun,
The bright, cloudless skies above the hills,
The long scenic roads of home,
The grazing, lush pastures on the slopes,

I'm amazed at the wind's changing mood,
Its ability to maneuver far and wide,
The quiet motion - the tumultuous ones,
The way it pushes at ones side.
...
Slithering in silence as you pass,
Tracing a narrow path through the grass,
Stirring no leaf nor twig on your way,
Beneath the cover of a sunny day,

Sailing across the vast sea,
On a ship filled with promising dreams,
And blindly steering an unknown course
Charted by uncertain schemes.

Stone warts and fungus growing on solid rock
With clinging pubescent leaves of hairy stock,
Causing the swift waters to spread and sprawl,
And move downstream as if in a crawl.
...
Meadowland and secluded valley,
Rural road or small town,
With the appearance of a gloomy cloud,
The white, fuzzy mass came tumbling down.
...
A nameless protestor, midst a rowdy crowd
That gathered at the city square,
Uttered words of hope and peace,
Forced and planned for everyone to care.
...
Who are these demons that dominate my life,
Harassing and annoying me day after day?
They may be a figment of the imagination,
But their tormenting tactics are here to stay.
...
Should I return to the place of my birth?
I know my folks are not there.
They were dedicated and hard working parents,
As I have pictured them these many years.
...
The neighborhood is so silent, no noise anymore.
A child not going to the penny candy store.
No child playing, no laughter or glee,
No one calling out to me.
