Justin Baker Poems

The moon, the sun
the stars, the sky
they stay intact
though none know why
...

Death by new daylight
life by old night
through this succession
we all recite
...

Trees like nervous people,
greedy with their land,
half light, half dark,
the looming stage,
...

Oh god,
I'm shaking,
though i'm trying to stop.
I'm crying,
...

5.

Where are we drifting?
Where are we drifting? !
I don't want to go,
I want to stay here in this point.
...

I can not breach the glassy front,
when will I reach the place I thought I lived,
the home I once conjured,
with you in my bed.
...

7.

Push back my hair,
dunk me in your existence.
Tie me up tight,
force upon your objections.
...

Such a symbol,
doesn't exist,
holding more,
standing taller.
...

9.

Sleepless, restless,
night after forever.
Wrap me up,
simplest emotions.
...

On your back,
carry me please.
In your arms,
hold me till dawn.
...

11.

I lost sight,
when the sunshine liquid overflowed.
Standing, a figure,
reaching for me.
...

12.

If you wanted me rid,
you would've done long ago.
You coy little fox,
don't lead me astray.
...

What says a reflection,
to this portrait of skin.
Each grains lying response,
yeilding what would rather not be seen.
...

14.

The sun will flood the thoughts of mine
And take them far away
The daylight brings the mask I wear
To strengthen title prey
...

A pointless word, pushed through a pen
a dull idea, lies all but dead
soft spoken tunes form feelings from air
with unstable hands, a touch here, dab there
...

Few idling moments
to explain how a heart beats
what then...
the silence drawing nearer
...

Watch colors fade,
walls, ceiling, floor, more,
what's still here? nothing is seen...
Faith is there, though what good at that,
...

Our classical bodies,
our romantic minds,
our reasonable presence,
our figurative thoughts.
...

The Best Poem Of Justin Baker

Fall Away

The moon, the sun
the stars, the sky
they stay intact
though none know why
while gravity clings to us of earth
they float quite soundless
destruction, rebirth.
Surrounded by walls
is what life consists
they watch us with pity
through blurry eyed mists
they float great and tall
judging many of things
though just from a glance
they can’t hear how she sings.
