Lento Maez Poems
She Brings Me Peace
A sensuous breeze whispered in my ear
All the lovely things I wanted to hear
I wondered if this magic would disappear
Or was it because her presence was near
The breeze persisted to taunt me so
It followed me wherever I would go
I spotted a flower bending low
As if it was trying to let me know
The secret of the sensuous breeze
Was it her essence in the trees
Or her soothing sound she used with ease
Of this I know she brings me peace
The look that smoldered,
the universe it overcame.
That come hither look its own to blame.
And thus that love encompasses all:
I know now its purpose,
your countenance should face
what smolders in souls.
