Curiosity

My Father
and my father’s father
spent their lives
at the foot of this hill.

They never climbed
up the hill and tried
to reconnoiter....
the world beyond

One day out of curiosity
I clambered up the hill
and looked around.

Really, I was dumbfounded!
From on high
how vast the world
meets our eyes
and so also life!

We Are Just Castes

Who are you?

I am Ph.D,
a professor in College.

Shut up! Idiot!
Tell me your name;
your identity

I am an Indian
a citizen of Bharatvarsha.

Bastard!
Don't give me that!
Tell me,
who are you?

Hindu or Musalman?
