A mixture of brilliant colors
A swipe, a dot or a swirl.

I go outside on a chilly day
Look up and down my flower beds
My little friends look up at me
With their sad little wintery heads.

He taught me how to run, oh yes
From the time that I could walk
And other plans he had for me
Just as soon as I could talk.

If you want to make a kid happy
Just put a fishing pole in his hand
As soon as he snags one
He'll feel like the King in his land.

DEEP RED ROSE

This is the first rose of spring
I wish you could smell

They grew and then they grew some more
Popped that squash out in clusters
I gave so many away I cannot count
Almost more work than I could muster.

She really is quite exciting
And her name tells us so
It was rather daunting
I love to watch her grow.

Miracle is the perfect name
For this Cora Bell
I have two of them, you see
So I know them very well.
