We went to the fair the other day
Oh my, what a day we had
Cowboys, cowgirls and horses
Why, you'd think it was a fad

I really do love this time of year
We start the holiday season
We decorate everywhere
We definitely have a reason

If you ever want a treat
That will set your mind at peace
Try chocolate, my friend
You worries instantly cease.

She loved to paint and paint she did
On anything she could find.
She gave them out for presents
And we surely didn't mind.

So many things changed as clouds rolled by
Can you imagine a long time ago
Where there was nothing for miles around
But the life continued to flow.

They were just sweet little baby birds
Stuffed into their small nest
Loving parents feeding them
What mom's and dad's they do best.
...

I look back on special memories
Of grandma when I was a kid
Many special things she said
And special things that we did.
...

Strolling down that red dirt road
My eyes were filled with tears
So much beauty I have enjoyed
For so many happy years.
