First of all is the smell
Dreamy and oh so fragrant
Just a sniff and you can tell.

Waving in the breeze
My Hollyhock will be lovely
Until that winter freeze.

Does autumn bring lovely growth
In the forest, my friend, for you?

Oh yes, they're turning golden
They send a message true
How about your trees?
Have your leaves turned golden too?

In the doom of night
You can hear muffled moans
And screeching sounds
In strange eerie tones.
