You know, the different structures
That were created in the past
Were done the best possible way
It’s amazing how long they’d last
Sometimes they were built
Partially into the ground
Sturdy enough and functional
If not the prettiest around
But they always served their purpose
Housed beast and human as well
All that really mattered
Was a place in which to dwell
And don’t you love the windmills?
So tall and beautiful to see
Nothing more relaxing to watch
With a house, a barn and tree
When you drive across the country
Take notice of the dwellings around
I enjoy so very much
Old country settings I’ve found!
