settles a sense of imperfect calm.

In the stillborn night the feathers of a frantic day
tickle the fancy and spill out
into sheets of dreams dreary

systems of all kinds collapse and crumble
under the stress of painjoy fumbling
at the seams of life.

Through the waterfall cascade of hope comes
a misty spray of miniscule memories
of the a time when we surrendered to impulses
and walked through a 3 phase electric shock

The weight of the wisdom we seek eludes
us as we stagger into dark dens of knowledge
suffused and selected, stored in gigantic libraries
of the mind by those
...

The petals are plastic
the hearts oh so sweet
the ribbons elastic
the feelings entreat

The skill through which you maneuvered
between skyscrapers of lust and longing
through dense forests of future dreams
through intertwined hands and hearts

Just after the ebb and flow
of staying locked for a lifetime
in an earthly connection
