There it went again…

Like a moth to a flame

And it's gonna be goodbye
as we come around the bend
for I am not the one
for you who is God-sent

And the night comes in sweet whispers
as the day ends with a smile
with the chuckle of the sunset
i behold your silhouette
...

The sweetest songs they play on air
the melodies that sound so fair
they all could not begin to compare
to the music that to me you share
...

Descending from the haze
dawning in my mind
erasing all the trace
of the courage inside I find
...

What does one say when another bids goodbye?
So long? Farewell? Perhaps a question Why?

What does one feel when another leaves for real?
...

I hate you for what you've done
I hate you for what you have become
and yet I cannot bring myself
to be done with you and just forget...
...

I was hoping that I had forgotten - forgotten the hurts and aches.
I was hoping I have forgiven - forgiven you for causing my pain.
but alas time proves itself useless...
as my heart is still left so broken...

Moonlight....
the seduction of night...
the curse of emotions veiled under shadow...
the temptation of embraces muted in love shallow...
...

You still live within me, you still haunt my dream...
You stir pain inside me, your name's my every scream...
