They are our second parents...
our bad behavior deterrents...
sometimes they're truly scary...
but most times they're sweet as cherry...
...

The words stopped flowing
The heart ceased feeling

The memories stopped flooding
...

`Just when did you start loving me? ’ she asked.
I looked at her with my widest smile and admired the twinkle in her eyes.
`When? ’ she quipped impariently.
`When my dreams sprung to life and my life became my dreams.’
...

But there are different kinds of love;
and with it an assortment of sorrow and pain -
varying in degree
rivaling depth of poured emotion
...

it was to be a heartbreaker
but I hardly felt the pain after
didn’t want to be so numb
crying is the rule of thumb
...

not bitter, just sad
a little emotional, I might add
for 'though my time with you has passed
I see but happy memories we had
...

absent your voice
absent your touch
something's amiss
when you're not around
...

laughter and cheers
pledge of loyalty through the years
our love did begin as a sweet affair
...

words of encouragement
sprung from your lips

the touch of comfort
...
