For I hold her so dear

and it does so in a gentle motion
as nature prepares for the night
it takes a last look at this beautiful sight

A little boy sat all alone, consumed by childish dreams
A baseball glove lay by his side, unraveling at its seams.
The final game had just been played, the score was 10 to 2
His little league team had lost again but that was nothing new.

I sit at home all alone
Deep betrayal is what I feel
Letting my mind begin to roam
And it all seems so real

Alone on the hilltops with wisemen no more,
a man can find nothing, with none to adore.
A bottle in one hand, have nothing to lose,
I think about falling, with my bottle of booze.

What makes man better than beast,
Our own emotions are sent out to feast.
We care not about the feelings of people,
we search for forgiveness under church steeples.

Wake up in the morning and pack all your gear,
knowing you're better, have nothing to fear.
The prarie it calls, the Lions you're game,
anything for the kill, have nothing to shame.

Together we decided to join the military
And we will not die to the contrary
For everyone passes, we must all come to an end
But until I die I will stand by my friend

Unrelentless calling, from all those who are falling
Trapped inside of an hour glass
Time is of the essence, mortal man's dependent
Trying to rise up this falling class
