Miklos Balogh Poems

I traveled the world, far and wide.
I observed myriad of wonders, day and night.
I left but a few stones unturned on my way.
I have never been so desperate, so separate.
...

The apple cries when you peel its skin
You do not care. You cannot see the tears
You smile as your knife cuts trough its tender meat.
...

Little flowers alongside the road dancing in the summer breeze
I walk on the footpath and gentle melodies massage my thoughts
I must break my movement because one of the flowers calls me
‘Stranger of endless travel - what brings you here to the Road of Nowhere? '
...

Flashes of black lights from a gloomy sky: thunderstorm, my dying desire
Came as lightning from murky clouds.
Under the cover of the night, they brought frost to my flaming heart.
Frozen fruits on silver plate: diverse salad of loneliness and pain.
...

You are everything I ever had.
You are everything, and more.
You are more than everything I ever had.
You are my embedded me!

I still feel your breasts under my wondering fingers
I still taste the manna on your lips
I still melt inside your body with desire
...

They said ‘there is nothing to hide'
I asked them ‘what happened to the skies'
They answered ‘there are no more roses to blossom'
...

If I could actualize my future
You would never become my nightmare

I would not plunge you into the dusk of madness
Where we paced the road to living hell
...

You bear the burden of past predicaments
While standing in the queue of your lies
You realize that nothing has changed since it began
(No new schedules, same old wants, indifferent regrets)
...

II love you baby
‘Cause you drive me crazy
Because you lay my bed in hell
With you, I dare - to be a better man!
...

Did you loose your job?
Can you find the reasoning too weak?
How do you tell your children; they will not have bread tomorrow morning!
You have nowhere to hide.
...

I was sailing shiny nights
I was chasing murky lights
I was protecting them from the winds

You were always like a dream

Crossroads

I traveled the world, far and wide.
I observed myriad of wonders, day and night.
I left but a few stones unturned on my way.
I have never been so desperate, so separate.
I studied humanity, the nature, and the life of the wild.
I mastered how to read, to explain, and to write.
I preached compassion, affection, and love.
I have never felt so barren, and so left behind.
I fought many battles of an unholy war.
I conquered many hearts, spirits, and souls.
I became the victim of my childish crimes.
Finally, I countenance your innocent lies
